Salem Community College recently promoted Associate Professor Michael D. Burbine to full professor.

Upon joining SCC in 1990, Burbine held administrative positions of increasing responsibility in Student Affairs and Academic Affairs until January 2006, when he was named associate professor of education and social sciences.

Salem Community College is forming a Sports Advisory Council to engage in an “open conversation” about the potential of reinstating the athletics program, according to SCC President Michael Gorman.

National Hockey League star and Oldmans Twp., N.J. native Johnny Gaudreau will be inducted into the Salem County Sports Hall of Fame on Tuesday, August 29 at Salem Community College.  The ceremony – free and open to the public – will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Salem Community College recently hosted the Chambers Works Middle School Academic League Finals between Pittsgrove Township Middle School and Upper Pittsgrove Township School.  

Pittsgrove Township with first-year coach John McCarson led the Red Division and Upper Pittsgrove led the Blue Division with coach Danielle Taulane.
