Self-Service

 

How do I get to Self-Service?
SCC provides several links to Self-Service. You can log in through the SCC website or click here to go directly to Self-Service.

How do I reset my password?
You can reset your password online here. NOTE: This will reset your password for Self-Service, Student Email, and computer login on campus computers.

Can I view my grades online?
Yes, you must login to Self-Service. Along the top, there is a "Grades" tab. NOTE: Your grades must be posted by your instructor first before you can view them.

How can I get my official transcript?
While Self-Service  provides an unofficial transcript, you must go through our partner website, National Clearing House, to get your official transcript. Click here to begin.

How do access student email?

Canvas

 

How do access Canvas?
SCC provides a link on the "Current Students" page with Canvas login instructions. Access Canvas here.

How do I reset my password?
You can reset your password online here. Then click on "Forgot Password" link. NOTE: This will reset your password for Canvas only.

After I log in, I don't see any of my classes, what do I do?
It is possible that your instructor has NOT created your course in Canvas yet. Please try contacting your instructor, or call the HelpDesk for further assistance. (856) 351 - 2671

 

On-Campus Internet

 

How do I connect to the Wi-Fi?
Only enrolled SCC students have access to the Wi-Fi on campus. Connect to the "SCC" Wi-Fi point. Once you have established connection, you will be required to login with your credentials.

Why do I keep losing connection to the Wi-Fi?
SCC has several "hot-spot" areas, however there may be some areas of the campus that does NOT have Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi is on a timer, if you are idle the connection may time out.

 

Microsoft Office 365

 

I don't have Microsoft Office on my personal computer, how can I do assignments that require Microsoft Office?
Although SCC does NOT provide copies of Microsoft Office for personal use, all enrolled students have several options to access Microsoft Office:

  1. All campus computers have Microsoft Office installed on them. Students are allowed to check out laptops in the Library or they may setup a time to use computers in the classroom with their professors.
  2. SCC provides a cloud version of Office to all enrolled students for free. Students can use Microsoft Office 365 for free as long as they are enrolled in classes at SCC.
  3. Office can be purchased through Microsoft's website (click to go to Microsoft's website)

 

 

What is Microsoft Office 365 for students?
Microsoft 365 is a cloud version of Microsoft Office 365. This allows students to use applications such as; Word, Powerpoint and Excel from any computer. 

 

How can I access Microsoft Office 365 as a student at SCC?
SCC provides students with access to a cloud version of Microsoft Office 365. To access Office 365, you must be enrolled at Salem Community College. Follow the instructions to access Office 365: Student Access to Microsoft Office 365
