Salem Community College’s partnership with the Woman’s Club of Penns Grove/Carneys Point is in full bloom – literally.

Members of the club’s environment committee, co-chaired by Marie Boody and Donna Pelura, recently planted more spectacular mums from Platt Farms on the Dr. David J. Klinke Green. Boody and Pelura were joined by Betty Chance.

The club’s beautification projects at SCC were recognized this year by the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs with the first-place award for best all-around work in the Garden State for conservation.

“The College congratulates the Woman’s Club of Penns Grove/Carneys Point on this well-deserved honor and thanks members for their tremendous work at SCC since 2017,” said SCC President Michael Gorman. “We look forward to working with the club again in 2021.”
