SCC celebrates new class of Practical Nursing graduates with pinning ceremony

Salem Community College recently held a pinning ceremony for 26 students who completed the Practical Nursing program. 

The following Practical Nursing students graduated with a certificate:

Griffith, Brittney Kirsten Gronvold, Sarah Elizabeth Guinto, Kayla Marie Hawthorne, Johnna Leigh Heller, Taylor Elizabeth Hill, Brittany Nicole Howell, Dawnell Keeler, Daniel John Lyons, Samantha Paige MacIntyre, Anissa Justine Morris, Corynne Renee Mullica, Marina Doris Parkinson, Meghan Reid-Crawl, Zachary R. Sherkness, Dauretanya Sweeney, Angela Lalita Truitt, Abigail Jane Warner, Joanne M. Welch, Michelle Catherine Williams, Callie Elizabeth Wylie

During the ceremony, the following students were honored:

Abigail Warner received the Quality and Safety Education for Nurses Academic Award as the best overall student who is academically strong, clinically proficient, competent and caring. 

Tiffany Anderson earned the Faculty Nursing Award by representing the spirit of the nursing department mission, with moral and ethical characteristics, self-awareness and appreciation for diversity. 

Meghan Reid-Crawl, Jennifer Ann Buck, Marina Doris Parkinson and Taylor Elizabeth Hill received Faculty Recognition Awards for exhibiting the spirit of the program and demonstrating the greatest attainment of self-awareness, in addition to demonstrating the most personal and professional growth.
