The Mission of Student Affairs

The Division of Student Affairs supports the vision and mission of Salem Community College and works collaboratively with College partners to meet the diverse needs of all students and the College community. It is our purpose to provide quality programs and services that empower students to achieve their fullest potential.

A Message from the Dean of Student Affairs

I warmly welcome you to the Division of Student Affairs.  By offering programs to assist all students in their transition to and from SCC, Student Affairs strives to support and enhance academic and co-curricular success.

Student Affairs’ variety of departments (see the list at left) are interrelated and an integral part of College life.

As educators, staff members are dedicated to designing active learning environments, offering quality services and support programs, and teaching skills that help students accomplish their educational and career life goals.  In carrying out these services, Student Affairs is committed to providing personal attention that meets the needs of a diverse student body. 

I encourage you to take full advantage of the services and opportunities available at SCC.  Get involved, join one or more student clubs   and experience Salem Community College in the fullest way possible.

Student Affairs is open Monday through Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., when classes are in session.
