Student Services - Transfer Advising
Salem Community College graduates have a wide variety of excellent opportunities for transfer to four-year institutions, and SCC has articulation agreements with many institutions including Chestnut Hill College, Drexel University, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Rowan University, Strayer University and, Wilmington College.
Student Services keeps information about four-year colleges and universities on file and can assist students with transfer preparation. Faculty and advisors will help students plan a course of study to parallel the first two years at the chosen four-year institution. Students should be familiar with the specific course requirements of the institution of their choice. Students interested in transferring should discuss their plans with a Student Services advisor.
In addition, students planning to transfer must meet the admission requirements of their selected college. During the transfer process, students must submit an official copy of their SCC transcript to their transfer institution. A transcript request form is available in Student Services or can be downloaded here. The cost is $5 ($10 for same-day service).
NJ Transfer - www.njtransfer.org - helps students who are enrolled
or planning to enroll at a community college then transfer to a
four-year college in New Jersey. While on the site, students enter
their community college courses, their final grades and the college
to which they plan to transfer. Students learn which courses
transfer and, if so, each course's equivalency at the transfer college.
Through NJ Transfer, electronic transcripts may be sent to
participating public and private colleges and universities in New Jersey.
