Student Organizations
The College recognizes a variety of clubs and organizations designed to meet students' academic and social interests. The Office of Student Leadership seeks to provide SCC students with opportunities to get involved beyond the classroom and have a significant impact on the campus community. Take a look below at some of the student organizations available at SCC.

Animal Allies
Advisor: Melissa Norbeck
Animal Allies is a student organization open to all college community members who share a love for animals. The group's goal is "to promote healthy living for all animals through education, outreach, and advocacy." Members organize service projects such as food drives and volunteer services at shelters, fundraisers for designated animal causes, and education through a club newsletter and various campus activities.
Chi Alpha Epsilon

Chi Alpha Epsilon is the national honor society that recognizes the academic achievement of SCC students who are admitted into the EOF program or who participate in the developmental curriculum of the Center for Student Success. SCC’s Delta Lambda Chapter of Chi Alpha Epsilon -- recognized as a model chapter by the honor society’s founder in 2006 -- promotes continued high academic standards, provides leadership opportunities and fosters communication among its members and the College community. Membership is based on grade point average.
EOF Club

The Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) Club is open to all students. The club provides students with the opportunity to expand their educational, cultural and professional experiences. Glass Club

The Glass Club is open to all students with an interest in glass art. Members promote glass art by providing demonstrations and exhibits to the College community. Students also strive to improve their own creative skills through seminars and workshops. Members of the group also participate in Salem Community College’s annual International Flameworking Conference, which brings prominent glass artists to campus. Call 856-351-2702.
FUSION - Multicultural Club

The Multicultural Club (U.N.O.) encourages students of all backgrounds to learn from each other. Among the club's goals are:
- promoting cross-cultural communication;
- providing a forum for sharing an awareness of cultural differences and similarities, and
- planning and promoting international social activities.
Oak Singers

Come join us and represent SCC in song. The Oak Singers is a community chorale open to all students and community members. Winter holiday and spring concerts are performed annually.
Phi Theta Kappa

Phi Theta Kappa is the international honor society for two-year colleges. Phi Theta Kappa's purpose is to recognize and promote academic achievement among students, provide opportunities for leadership training, encourage personal growth, and foster fellowship among members and associates. Phi Theta Kappa sponsors service projects benefiting the College and the community. Membership, based on grade point average, is by invitation. Student Government Association (SGA)

The Student Government Association is open to all enrolled students and serves as the student governing body. The SGA's goal is to provide students with the opportunity to express their opinions to their peers, College administration and faculty. In addition, students participating in SGA develop and coordinate activities, initiate projects that benefit the College, and develop leadership skills. General meetings take place monthly.
Student Nurse Organization (SNO)

The Student Nurse Organization invites all nursing students to become involved. Activities include seminars and fundraisers.
