Fall calendar coming soon...
The Salem Community College Oak Singers were established in January 1991 as a group of 23 singers. Since that time, the choir has grown to over 50 members comprised of a varied group of men and women from young adult to young at heart. Many members have performed with their high school chorus, church choir, or similar group while others have had no previous organized singing experience.
In addition to putting on two major concerts each year, the Oak Singers participate in Salem Community College’s Commencement and occasionally perform at various civic functions.
The group is directed by Charles H. Musser and accompanied by Laurie Goforth.
Membership is open to anyone who enjoys singing; there are no fees or auditions involved. The group rehearses Tuesdays from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Davidow Hall, Room DAV 109, from September to late May.
