SCC offers free training to local businesses
Salem Community College announces the appointment of Mary Ellen Hassler as the Manager of Non-Credit and Business Education Programs. In this role, she will bring much-needed grant-funded training to the region. In that effort, the College is partnering with the New Jersey Business & Industry Association, the state’s Community College Consortium for Workforce and Economic Development, and the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development.
“The College has partnered with the right state agencies and, of course, with the Salem County Chamber of Commerce,” said Hassler. “We all have the same mission and goal -- to improve the skills of the existing and the future workforce in the region. I will work hard in understanding needs of local businesses and bring the funded training programs to them.”
Examples of the training that will be offered this fall are customer service, Microsoft Office 2010 and personal health records (ICD-10).
To ensure Salem County and its businesses get their fair share of the limited training funds, contact Hassler immediately at 856.351.2651 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
