SCC to celebrate 46th annual Commencement

Salem Community College will graduate more than 200 students at the 46th annual Commencement ceremony at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, in the DuPont Field House, Davidow Hall.  

Among the graduates are seven high school seniors from the Salem County Vocational-Technical Schools who will earn associate degrees before graduating from high school: Devyn Grasso, Serenity Hanusa, Savannah Parker, Nicole Paulus, Emily Plummer, Brenna Samuels and Brooke Samuels.

The ceremony will feature remarks from Class of 2018 members Brianna DiPietro, Karina Escobar and Matthew Palentchar.  In addition, graduates will hear from 2018 Distinguished Alumna Pam Halter Chew, a nationally respected teacher who is completing her 25th year at Mary Shoemaker Elementary School, and New Jersey’s Acting Secretary of Higher Education Dr. Zakiya Smith Ellis.
