SCC Board announces new member and reappointments

The Salem Community College Board of Trustees recently welcomed a new member and was reinforced with the reappointments of two members.  

Ryan Padilla of Pittsgrove was appointed to a four-year term to the Salem Community College Board of Trustees in January. The Rutgers University graduate is an administrative clerk for the Cumberland County Department of Corrections.   

Patrice Burdalski was reappointed in January to a three-year term.  A Board member since January 2014, she has served on the personnel committee and chairs the academics committee.  A Pilesgrove resident, Burdalski operates an insurance agency in Carneys Point.  

Robert Carter was also reappointed in January to a three-year term.  A Board member since December 2013, he has served on the policy and finance/facilities committees and presently serves on the academics committee, after chairing it for two years.  The Pennsville resident served for 26 years in the United States Navy, achieving the rank of Captain.  Afterwards, he held administrative positions, including Director of Grants and Contract Services, at New Jersey Institute of Technology until retiring in 2006.
