Darlene Bergbauer completes term on SCC’s Board of Trustees
The Salem Community College Board of Trustees recently honored Darlene Bergbauer, who completed a one-year term as the alumni trustee. The resolution praised the Pennsville resident for her commitment and service to the College community.
“Thank you for making me feel so warm and so welcome and such an integral part of the group,” said Bergbauer while briefly addressing the trustees. “It has truly been my pleasure and honor to serve, and it has been amazing to see how the College has grown over the past 20 years.
“It is a testament to President Contini and to each of you for all your hard work, commitment and dedication to the students,” she continued. “So on behalf of the students, I would like to thank you for all that you do and all that you will continue to do.”
Bergbauer received a practical nursing certificate from SCC in 1990 and returned to earn an associate degree in nursing (ADN) in 2009. As the class representative for the ADN students, she attended nursing department meetings with faculty and the program director. She was praised as a good team player and leader.
Now a registered nurse, Bergbauer works for Bayada Nurses.
