Introducing The League for Innovation’s iStream

The League is an organization that serves a majority of community colleges around the United States by providing vast information and ideas for innovation. Salem Community College is a part of this organization along with almost every community college in New Jersey.

The League provides a new web multimedia portal called iStream where faculty, staff, and administration find solutions for research and reference needs using the latest web 2.0 technologies. An iStream subscription provides everyone at Salem Community College access to videos, articles, publications, and learning programs, along with conferences, services, partnerships, and collaborative communities. The materials available on iStream are geared towards higher education, from higher education and cannot be found anywhere else.

This is a great benefit to SCC because faculty and staff can see what other community colleges in the country are doing to make their college better. Keep up to date with fellow community college goals and strategies, especially in technology with this online database of valuable information.

To get access to iStream, follow the directions below:

  • Go to www.league.org/istream
  • Click on “Create Your iStream Account”
  • In the next window, select your college from the dropdown menu
  • Enter your first and last name, and your institutional email address
  • Click “Submit”

You will receive a confirmation email with instructions on logging in and creating your password.
