In May 2007, Sara Garrison and Jennifer Paulding, pictured from left, earned degrees from Salem Community College, one month before they earned their high school diplomas.  Both were students in the Salem County Vocational-Technical Schools’ Academy of Biological and Medical Sciences, but took extra SCC courses on their own.

Sara, who earned an associate in arts degree in liberal arts, transferred to the Richard Stockton State College of New Jersey to major in molecular biology.  Jennifer, who earned an associate in arts degree in mathematics/science, transferred to a pre-med program at Ursinus College.

Sara said she had an excellent experience at SCC, noting the "phenomenal" help with registration and transferring.

Added Jennifer, "The advisors are always willing to give you the time."
