Kathleen Polimeni, Assistant Professor of Nursing, teaches nursing courses in both the RN and PN programs. She is nationally certified as a Progressive Care Nurse (PCCN) and earned the Theodore Hirsh Memorial Award for Cardiovascular Excellence in Nursing in 2001. Her clinical background is critical care and cardiology. Kathleen has served in various positions at Cooper University Hospital since 1985, including staff nurse, assistant clinical director, clinical educator and post-discharge coordinator. She currently works per diem as an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) instructor for Cooper University Hospital and as an adjunct nursing instructor for Rutgers University in Camden. Kathleen is an avid reader and a devoted Philadelphia Phillies fan.
