Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) Support Services for Students
Support Services Available to EOF Students at SCC (Click to open this information)
The following are EOF support services are available to all EOF students.
- EOF Orientation – An overview of the Educational Opportunity Fund Program is available to current and prospective students and parents.
- EOF Summer Program – EOF freshmen are eligible to attend a five-week summer session. All tuition, fees, and books are covered by the program. Students also receive a stipend at the completion of the summer program.
- Individual Counseling/Advising – EOF counselors and advisors are available to assist students through academic, personal, financial and career-related issues. EOF students meet with their EOF Counselor monthly to monitor academic progress.
- Tutoring – EOF counselors refer EOF students with academic difficulties to the Center for Student Success staff for assistance.
- Peer Mentoring – Second-year EOF students provide social support to first-year EOF students.
- Peer Tutoring – Second-year EOF students provide academic support to first-year EOF students.
- Program Advisory Board (PAB) – An advisory board dedicated to promoting the values of the EOF Program at SCC.
- Chi Alpha Epsilon Honor Society – Chi Alpha Epsilon is a national honor society that recognizes the academic achievements of EOF students.
- EOF Club – The EOF Club provides students with the opportunity to expand their cultural and professional horizons, as well as their learning experiences.
