Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF)
Who is eligible for EOF?
To be eligible for the program, a student must demonstrate that he or she:
- has been a legal resident of the State of New Jersey for at least 12 months;
- is a citizen or a permanent resident of the United States;
- will enroll as a full-time student at Salem Community College;
- has the potential and motivation to succeed in college as determined by a personal interview; and
- is in need of financial assistance as determined by the federal and state government.
To receive an EOF interview
An EOF interview will be scheduled after you have completed the following steps:
- Complete a Salem Community College application for admission.
- Submit official high school transcripts with application for admission.
- Complete the Accuplacer Test.
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the SCC financial aid form. (visit the Financial Aid Web pages for more information)
- Complete the SCC EOF application.
- Submit one letter of recommendation with EOF application.
- Submit a short essay as part of the EOF application.
