The Energy Institute offers BPI (Building Performance Institute) certification and the NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) Entry-Level Exam:

• BPI programs include Building Analyst Professional and Envelope   Professional certifications, and

• Solar Photovoltaic (PV) entry-level exam preparation and PV Entry-Level   Exam.

Classes are offered in the following formats:

• Independent study

• Online

• Formal classroom

• Hands-on lab

Fee schedule

• Independent study and online classes $2,500 per student

• One week classes $1,500 per student

BPI and Registered NABCEP Entry-Level Exam Provider

The SCC Energy Institute offers BPI written examinations in certifications and field examinations for Building Analysts and Envelope Professionals.

• BPI Written Examination $200

• BPI Field Examination $400

In addition, the Energy Institute is a provider of the NABCEP Entry-Level Exam.

• NABCEP Entry-Level Exam $150

Opportunity to earn college credits

Students who earn BPI and NABCEP Entry-Level Passing Score Achievement can apply for and earn college credits based on the successful completion of the certification, or NABCEP Entry-Level Passing Score Achievement. These credits can be applied toward Career and Academic Certifications, and an Associate Degree in Sustainable Energy Technology at Salem Community College.
