Develops students’ awareness of the visual elements of art and principles of organization. Through problem solving, critical analysis and execution of design projects, students learn how to improve their aesthetic sense. Students employ the visual elements of line, shape, texture, value, space and color to produce successful design projects that utilize the organizational components of unity and variety, balance, proportion, dominance, repetition and movement.
