Introduce students to the concepts of building construction and in how they relate to fire services. Student develop a working knowledge of how buildings are designed, constructed, altered and come into disrepair. Student also develop a working knowledge of construction terms and different types of construction material. With this knowledge, students will be able to develop a plan to attack a fire with effective tactics that will not jeopardize the safety of firefighters.
