Is a planned, paid work activity that introduces the student to the primary technical areas within a nuclear power plant. During the internship, students will have introductory instruction in the general operations of a plant as well as classes/labs covering material science. Students experience the various technical areas as part of their job assignments to help select possible future career paths.
Prerequisite:
Full-time enrollment in the Nuclear Energy Technology program with successful completion of all first- and second-semester courses with a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Students also must be at least 18 years old, and pass background and drug tests required for access to a nuclear plant. Term(s) Offered:
