Covers transcription of physician-dictated reports, with emphasis on speed and accuracy. The course includes the transcription of non-surgical reports such as letters, charts, notes and physical examination reports. The course also emphasizes the efficient use of reference materials and resources. In addition, editing and proofreading techniques are addressed. Current professional issues in medical transcription are also discussed.
