5 Description:
Consists of the application of the classroom theory provided in HLH 188. It is expected that students will demonstrate identification of signs and symptoms of disease, and will be able to apply the appropriate nursing intervention. Students are expected to demonstrate increasing clinical competence. At the completion of this practicum, it is expected that the nursing student could safely and competently take care of the stable medical-surgical patient in a hospital setting under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Completion of HLH170, HLH178 and HLH179 with grade of 78% or C+ or higher
