Description: 
Offers the basic principles of journalism. While developing an awareness of news values, journalistic style and story types, students practice composing and editing a variety of stories on personal computers and learn to adhere to the accepted standards of professional ethics and responsibility. The course is taught through lecture, discussion, practice, simulation and guest lecture, depending on availability.
