Is intended for the beginning flameworker and introduces the tools and techniques of flameworked glass. Hands-on experiences using primarily soft glasses enable the student to gain the hand skills necessary to pursue further course work in flameworked glass. Class projects emphasize both the technical and creative elements necessary for creating significant flameworked glass. Included is a brief study of the history of flameworked glass and glass in general. Ample studio time is provided.
