Description: 
Uses the computer as a tool to draw, paint, scan and manipulate images. Students create projects utilizing the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and PowerPoint. Additionally, students are introduced to Dreamweaver software, used to create Web sites. This course, that includes both lecture and lab projects, familiarizes students with these applications in preparation for intermediate coursework. Color theory and principles of design are also covered. This introductory course does not assume prior drawing, painting, photography, computer graphic, or Web site creation experience. However, familiarity with a Mac or Windows environment is helpful.
