Description: 
Is an introduction to the fundamental concepts of microbiology. Special emphasis is placed on the industrial application of microbiological principles. Topics include the microbiological monitoring of environmental contamination on both hard surfaces and in the atmosphere, sterility testing, the use of preservatives in manufacturing processes, product contamination and testing as well as food preservation and sterilization techniques.
