These workshops are offered by the NJ Small Business Development Center at Rutgers University. The Center also assists with business start-up issues, loan proposals, business plans and women and minority business certification applications. Credit Management for Entrepreneurs
This workshop helps people understand their credit history as it is reported by the credit bureau. The workshop also provides people with the tools to begin fixing their credit.
N.J. Division of Taxation's Small Business Taxes
This workshop, conducted by the New Jersey Division of Taxation, covers types of organizations, record keeping and overview of employment taxes.
Question & Answer Session on Small Business Start-Up
During this two-hour session, friendly representatives from the New Jersey Small Business Development Center will answer questions about establishing a small business.
NJ State Certification Program
The New Jersey certification process may appear complex, but could also prove to be a very effective marketing tool for your company. This seminar introduces a company to procedures of accessing and responding to the bid process. Discussions include the vendor registration program (SAVI-II), the unified certification program and getting listed with the NJ Department of Treasury.
