Philosophy

Our philosophy of intercollegiate athletics at SCC includes a deep belief and commitment to the pursuit of academic excellence and self-development. Our goal is to graduate or successfully transfer every student athlete who participates in our athletic programs. In addition, we encourage and promote the concepts of good sportsmanship and respect.

Academics

The Athletic Department is totally committed to helping its athletes to be academically successful. The Department monitors academic progress of its athletes very closely through the use of academic progress reports. It also coordinates tutorial services for its athletes and offers academic advising when appropriate.
