Coach JacobsJohn Jacobs joined the Salem Community College coaching staff in fall 2007.  He is preparing for the men’s soccer team inaugural season in 2008.

“Coaching has been a passion of mine for many years,” said Jacobs.  “I appreciate the opportunity given to me by Salem Community College.  I am excited to be coaching at the college level.  There is a lot of soccer talent in South Jersey and I hope to bring some of it to SCC.”

Before coming to Salem Community College, Jacobs taught in the West Deptford and Woodbury school districts where he initiated the soccer programs in both schools. He also was the assistant soccer coach at Glassboro State while he earned his master of arts degree.

Jacobs resides in Clarksboro with his wife Terry.  He has two children, Travis of Wilmington, N.C. and Taylor of Sea Isle City, N.J.
