Summer Registration

Registering for classes is easy! Whether you are a new student or returning student, just follow these steps:



  1. Apply to SCC.
  2. Send official transcripts from previous institutions and/or high school.
  3. Schedule placement testing, if required.
  4. Meet with an advisor by visiting the Office of Enrollment Management in DON-101, Donaghay Hall. SCC’s friendly advisors will help you develop a schedule based on your goals.
  5. Register for courses through Self-Service.



  1. Schedule an appointment to meet with your faculty advisor. If you are unsure of your faculty advisor, please visit the Office of Enrollment Management or Academic Affairs for assistance. Your faculty advisor will assist you with selecting courses to meet the requirements of your degree program.
  2. Register for courses through Self-Service.



Are you a student from another college planning to take summer courses at Salem? If so, follow these steps for visiting students:

  1. Complete the Visiting Student online application. Select "Undecided" under program, if you are not sure what program you want to take.
  2. Send an email to admissions@salemcc.edu with the following:
  • Full Name
  • Phone number, including area code
  • Email address
  • Semester you want to register
  • Course code and section number
  • College currently attending or have attended
  • Attach an unofficial college transcript to the email
