Financial Aid - Eligibility
To receive financial aid, a student must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- be a U.S. citizen;
- be registered with Selective Service (if required);
- have attained a high school diploma, GED, or successfully passed an ability-to-benefit test approved by the U.S. Department of Education;
- be accepted in a program of study leading to a degree or certificate;
- not be in default status on a student loan;
- maintain satisfactory academic progress;
- demonstrate financial need; and
- have registered for at least three credits.
To receive financial aid from the state of New Jersey, a student must comply with the general eligibility requirements and also must be:
- a New Jersey resident for at least one year and
- registered for at least six credits.
Senior Adult Policy (60 or over)
Senior citizens who wish to take advantage of the senior adult policy are not required to pay application and registration fees or tuition. Senior citizens utilizing this policy may register for those classes for which they are academically qualified on a space-available basis beginning the first day of the current semester or session. Students must pay all applicable fees and book costs.
